Join us at the library for an evening of creativity with Blackout Poetry for Adults on Thursday, January 30th from 5:00–6:00 pm. In this unique and fun workshop, you’ll explore the art of transforming existing text into poetry. Using a page from a book or newspaper, you’ll selectively black out words to create a brand-new piece of poetry that reflects your own creative expression.
Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies—pens, markers, or old books—and get to work on their blackout poetry. If you don’t have supplies, no worries! We’ll have materials available for you to use. It’s a great way to engage with literature in a fresh and exciting way, and you might even discover a new artistic outlet.
