SVPL and COVID 19
Important message to SVPL patrons
Monday March 17, 2020
To help limit the spread of COVID 19 the Salmo Valley Public Library will be closing as of March 17th. We will remain closed until further notice.
If you choose to come to the library before 6pm tonight, please limit your time while here.
The World Health Organization has declared a pandemic of COVID-19. In British Columbia, our chief medical officer and a dedicated team of health professionals are monitoring the situation and keeping citizens apprised of current risks of transmission, precautions, and procedures to seek medical support.
The Salmo Library has the health and well being of our patrons, volunteers, and staff as a top priority. It is important that we are proactive and take precautionary measures. It remains essential for everyone to avoid contact with others in the community if they are feeling unwell.
All programs are cancelled.
Effective immediately we have extended all library loan periods times to 6 weeks.
During this time all fines will be waived.
All Inter-Library loans are canceled.
